SVP & Product Manager
Mutual Funds

Responsibilities:

• Develop a strategic direction for retail and institutional mutual funds and IRA products.
  
• Responsible for product research and design and implementation of new enhancements for existing products; design and development of new products.
• Plan, budget and secure all resource required to achieve financial, service and corporate objectives for all products.
• Monitors key competitors, industry trends and provides competitive analysis.
• Represents TIAA-CREF at various external industry wide organizations
• Conducts presentations at seminars to various audiences and participates in the Institute's Speakers Bureau.
• Directs the activities of several staff members.
  
  
  Requirements:
  
  
• Broad, in-depth knowledge of mutual funds, IRAs and after-tax savings products.
• Excellent knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment affecting these products.
• Proven management, leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication, written , presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent negotiating skills.
• Strategic thinking, planning and execution abilities.
• A minimum of 15 years directly related experience in the Financial Services/Insurance Industry.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Successful completion of one or more appropriate industry programs (CFP, FMLI, ChFC)
• Series 6 or 7 and 63
• Series 24 or 26 or successful completion within 6 months of hire.
