TECHNOLOGY MANAGER
ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS:
The District Technology Manager is a member of the field sales management
team and sets the technical and business strategy for a team of
sales and pre-sales technical professionals with a focus on revenue
attainment and customer satisfaction.
The TM partners with the Sales Manager in the development of the
territory, achievement of revenue goals and alignment of sales and
technical support resources within the District. The TM recognizes
trends and affects changes that benefit the entire organization.
This position has primary responsibility to ensure technical readiness
and effectiveness of the technical operations supporting the pre-sales
environment.
Responsibilities include managing Technology Operations resources
(Technical Account Managers and Technology Engineers), recruitment,
performance management and career development, creation and execution
of district business plans and creation of strong teaming partnerships
with all team members (ES, PS, partners, etc).
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE:
- MBA
- 3+ years
experience in technical sales environment
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
- Previous
management or leadership experience
- Strong technical
skills
- Strong leadership,
motivational and team building skills
- Strong written
and verbal communication skills
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
- Occasional
global team interfacing, including customer management and remote
meetings
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 7+
FIELD OF STUDY: CS, EE, MIS
MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATION: BS
