Relationship
Manager
Position Summary/Purpose:
Manage assigned relationship(s) within assigned Markets/Programs.
Responsible for maintaining and growing relationship(s) with the
company's sales, finance, ops, and marketing management in order
to promote and demonstrate the company's services. Total accountability
for all relationship(s) activities is required.
Essential Functions:
- Interface
with vendor and the company's senior management regarding overall
program.
- Develop
and implement an account plan designed to manage all aspects of
the vendor program agreement for assigned relationship.
- Account plan should support overall company operational agenda.
- Lead the
identification, development and delivery of new financing products
and services to support the vendor's business objectives.
- Provide
leadership to a cross-functional team on an influence management
basis.
- Lead Regional
Sales Managers and/or Inside Sales Reps (if appropriate) in the
tactical execution of the company's and vendor's sales plans.
- Assist vendor's
sales rep and dealers with lease structuring and pricing quotes
on large transactions.
- Provide
pertinent vendor marketing information and assist the NSM in developing
the company's strategic plans.
- Responsible
for vendor program volume and margin quota, and product mix quota.
- Participate
in quality activities and QMI as necessary.
- Responsible
for vendor training.
- Attend manufacturer/dealer
trade shows to further integrate with distribution channel and
increase industry knowledge.
- Act as liaison
for relationship(s) global activities, if applicable.
Other Functions:
- Perform
field leasing management responsibilities to cover open territories
as appropriate.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required:
- Minimum
of five years vendor leasing/financing experience.
- Knowledge
of all functional areas of the finance leasing business.
- Strong leadership,
interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, written and verbal communication
skills (including solid understanding of underwriting, risk management
and pricing analysis).
- Ability
to work well independently and with others (internally and/or
externally) to influence the decision making process to drive
success of the relationship.
- High self
motivated goal oriented and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Ability
to think and execute strategically.
Education/Training:
- Experience
directing large groups of people (internally and/or externally).
Physical/Mental Demands:
- Must be
willing to meet the demands of a high intense work environment
with monthly and quarterly quotas.
Overnight travel
to visit customers, attend trade shows and participate in vendor
sales training meetings. Ability to meet demands of monthly and
quarterly quotas
