Representative - Vendor
Position
Summary/Purpose:
This position sells the organizations products and/or service
by interacting with established customer and developing new prospects.
This intermediate sales position requires sales experience and a
broad knowledge of the organization's policies, products and/or
services. Position is responsible for maximizing volume and margin
opportunities within assigned vendor territory and/or dealer relationships
through phone solicitation and follow-up on various types of lease
and loan financing. Total accountability for entire deal flow for
assigned programs.
Essential Functions:
- Interface
with vendor, dealer and end users via the phone to assist in transaction
structuring and closing.
- Meet or
exceed annual assigned volume and gross margin quotas
- Proactively
source new account opportunities through telemarketing increasing
accounts/territory
- Work with
Sales Manager/Marketing Manager on the development and execution
of sales promotions to maximize trade show/new product introduction
opportunities
- Facilitate
deal flow as necessary through the credit , documentation, and
funding process
- Maintain
and report on sales quoting and prospecting activity.
- Attend sales
meetings, participate in trade shows and perform vendor training
to align the company's Leasing with the distribution channel and
increase financing opportunities.
- Develop
and routinely update account plans for assigned vendor/territories
Other Functions:
- Identify
trends in relation to vendor/territory activity to assist the
company's Leasing with account/market issues and opportunities
- Participate
in quality activities and Industry QMI's as necessary
- Interface/communicate
with other industry Inside Sales Representatives to share best
practices
Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required:
- Prior experience
in financial services
- PC Proficient
- Ability
to work independently and as a member of larger team with excellent
interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated
with demonstrated initiative in previous position
- Excellent
organization and communication skills
Knowledge/Skills/Experience Preferred:
- Industry
related knowledge
- Knowledge
of the company's financial product offerings
- Sales support
experience
Education/Training:
- College
degree or equivalent experience
Physical/Mental Demands:
- Ability
to meet demands of monthly and quarterly quotas
- Ability
to attend the company's recommended seminars which may require
overnight stay
- Limited
travel usually with advanced notice
