BackVice President, Program Management


Responsibilities

The Vice President, Program Management will be directly responsible for the day-to-day management of approximately twenty-five personnel in four (4) functional groups: Program Management, Customer Support, Integrated Logistics Support and Data Management. This position will require extensive involvement in the preparation of complex proposals in support of DOD and international new business opportunities. The breadth of programmatic responsibilities include advanced technology proof-of-concept designs, full-scale development engineering programs, high-volume manufacturing programs and aftermarket product support.

Qualifications

The selected candidate will have a minimum of twenty years diversified program management experience in a defense systems acquisition environment. Additionally, the candidate will have experience in CMM/CMMI/EVMS process knowledge in related disciples such as business development, cost accounting, pricing, supplier management, contracts, engineering, quality and manufacturing.

The successful candidate will be a strong leader, personable, and a highly organized individual capable of establishing priorities who enjoys working in an environment with continuously shifting priorities. This individual must be an expert in multi-tasking to be successful. The candidate will need to be comfortable operating within a situational leadership model to accommodate the diversity of subordinate technical skills, experience levels and personality differences. This individual must perpetuate TCI's reputation as "a good company to work with".

Any candidate for consideration must have a strong business development orientation. From this perspective, the successful candidate will have a solid track record of developing positive relationships with various military customers, industry teammates and subcontractors. In addition, the candidate should have experience in defense communications and ideally in military tactical radio communications technologies and markets. This individual must have extensive DOD proposal development experience and have personally managed many multi-million dollar proposal teams.

From a Program Management perspective, this individual will be
responsible for ensuring timely performance of all company programs within budgeted cost and schedule performance objectives. Experience in all phases of program evolution from inception through program close out is required. The candidate will be required to participate in negotiations of contract agreements, act as primary customer contact for program activities, establish and monitor daily performance of assigned programs and lead program reviews with executive management.

From a Customer Support perspective, the successful candidate will be responsible for achieving after-market bookings and revenue targets. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for overseeing ILS activities for all programs, managing remote repair depot sites as well as assuring the timely repair of all returned items.

Educational Background

BSEE/BSCE Degree and MBA ideal.

Clearance Requirement

US citizenship required. Secret clearance desired.
